For many years, I have battled low self esteem, i have struggled to accept who i am, this was as a result of the numerous negative comments about me I allowed to overrule me....people will come and tell you hey boy, you can't do this, if you allowed them in your head, before you know it, the dreams are dead....
It all started when I couldn't get a university admission in time, tried and tried and it wouldn't come, unlike the common entrance for secondary education where you can even get admission on proxy, we all know that was the complete opposite for tertiary education.
Those 4 solid years as an apprentice in an aluminium fabrication workshop dampened what confidence left in me.....every time I ask myself, is this the new way? Friends are foes made me a laughing stock, I rolled with people which on a daily basis will bring your morale down and ask what's even there to go take in the university? I even heard some say HOW WAS HE ABLE TO EMERGE OUR SENIOR PREFECT BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL? this guy has got no future plans....well that's a story for another day.....
Shortly after completing my artisan course in Aluminium fabrication, the most sought after university admission came and Lagos state university was the best option as a Lagos indigene. Three and a half years of class leadership, members of different political committees on campus.... It is no longer news that son of man had rediscovered himself and has embrace what's left to be savoured.
People will come in many forms, some of family members, friends, colleagues and lovers....you seek advice and they give you. Some are indirectly rerouting you from your destined places....
Never allow other people's opinion be the yardstick with which you paddle the canoe of your life. You're your own architect....Map out your life the way you want it.
If I could find my way and build myself today, you also can do same, find your path and be the best version of yourself.
